Flickr is arguably the online image storing and sharing solution best suited to the needs of BBCC members.
Flickr is an image and video hosting website, acquired by Yahoo in 2005. Users can store and share photos and videos on Flickr. Photos can be stored singly, in albums, or in collections; and they can be made public, private or just shared with friends.
Flickr has Free accounts and Pro accounts, but the Free account is limited to only 1,000 photos. If this is all you need, grab their Free account. The Pro account costs about US$50 per year, which is roughly $70 - $80 in Australian dollars. Uploads are unlimited, so it is an excellent way to backup all of your photos, as well as displaying them for the world. It is recommended for all BBCC members to become Flickr users, after which they can become a member of the BBCC Flickr group, where they can see and comment on the photos of other members, and share their own photos.
